Intended Use
Bio-Speedy® vNAT® Transfer Tube contains 2 mL of viral nucleic acid extractive and preservative liquid. It is used for transport of nasopharyngeal swab, oropharyngeal swab, nasal swab and oral/saliva swab samples to the laboratory, nucleic acid (NA) extraction, NA preservation and pathogen inactivation.
Advantage in transfer and storage conditions
After the samples are taken, they can be transferred to the laboratory at +2-30°C within 24 hours. Samples can be stored for 3 months at +2-8 °C.
No nucleic acid extraction step needed:
During transfer, the vNAT® reagent inside the tube breaks down the virus and releases the nucleic acids. Thus, the sample can be added directly to the PCR reaction without any further processing.
Protects the nucleic acids contained in the samples:
It prevents the degradation of nucleic acids during transfer and ensures that the sample taken from the person represents the real viral load. Because it preserves nucleic acids, it avoids resampling due to weak internal control signals.
Provides biosafety during operation:
Pathogen inactivation occurs during the transfer, as it degrades viruses.
